Meet Our Team

Melissa Robertson
God has given me a heart of compassion and empathy to encourage individuals seeking solutions to life’s trials. My desire is to help with personal discovery and purpose. I believe that by stepping away from the distractions of daily life, we can connect with God’s creation, and ultimately find ourselves. My goal is to help bring harmony through healing, restoration, and
growth.
My husband Don and I have a big beautiful, blended family of six children and two
grandchildren. I enjoy Gardening, Cooking, Music, Nature, Horses, and Traveling (especially to
the mountains).

I have been working as a counselor for the past 16 years now. My license/credentials include Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed School Counselor, National Certified Counselor (NCC and NCSC), and Registered Play Therapist. I am currently working on a certification in equine assisted therapy, incorporating the Natural Lifemanship model and also the Eagala model.
I have been working with children and their families in the Corinth, MS/West TN area throughout my career; assisting individuals in dealing with trauma, stress, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, parenting, and other mental health issues. For the past 3 years now, I have strongly felt God leading me in the direction of incorporating the outdoors and being in Godʼs creation (weather permitting) during the counseling session. After the death of my son, I learned first hand the healing power of being in nature and being surrounded by living things such as plants, flowers, trees, and animals. That is why I feel so blessed to be here at Redemption Ranch, where I can integrate various counseling techniques in such a beautiful setting. My goal is to help you process your emotions in a safe and tranquil place and to help you find that extra strength to face the journey you are on.
